I designed a QR overlay feature for video ads, using Figma variables to give users real-time, fully customizable previews.
WHAT THIS FEATURE DOES
I designed a feature that lets users apply and customize QR codes directly on video ads, with real-time previews inside Figma. This makes it easy to see how the final ad will look before handing off to production.
CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS
Users can:
- Adjust QR size, position, and colors
- Add CTA label next to the QR
- Customize the inner and outer eyes
- Change the pattern style and overall placement for maximum flexibility
HOW I BUILT IT IN FIGMA
- Defined variables for size, position, colors, and styles.
- Linked variables to QR components so changes updated the preview instantly.
- Created component variants for eyes, patterns, and overlays.
- Set up a control panel frame where users tweak values and see the video + QR update in real time.
